The safety, dignity and rights of the people we work with are central to Photo 51 CIC. We treat safeguarding, privacy, inclusion and accountability as part of the work itself, not as paperwork after the fact.
We create environments where young people feel safe, respected and able to speak up if something is wrong. Every session is planned with safeguarding, risk and participant needs in mind.
We take concerns seriously and act without delay.
As a creative media organisation, we take image, video and audio consent seriously. We only collect and use personal information where it is needed to deliver programmes safely, meet our responsibilities, communicate with participants and partners, report outcomes and improve our work. Photos, video and audio are only used where appropriate consent has been given.
We are committed to removing barriers to participation. Our programmes are designed to be accessible, inclusive and responsive to different needs, backgrounds and learning styles.
