Photo 51 CIC uses film, music, podcasting, digital skills and creative mentoring to reveal the talent, voice and potential already present in our communities.
We design and deliver creative media, enrichment and mentoring programmes for young people and communities. Our work gives participants space to build confidence, develop practical skills, tell their own stories and see themselves differently.
Short films, documentaries, promotional video, social media content, storytelling and editing.
Recording, production, podcast development, voice work, sound engineering and audio storytelling.
Creative workshops, confidence building, public speaking, critical thinking, media literacy and specialist support.
Photo 51 was the image that helped reveal the structure of DNA. The discovery changed science, but the woman behind the image, Rosalind Franklin, was overlooked for her contribution.
We chose the name because it reflects our mission. We work with people, stories and communities that are too often underestimated, underfunded or written out of the frame.
Photo 51 CIC exists to make the overlooked visible.
We work with schools, youth centres, local authorities, housing associations, arts organisations, community groups, funders and local partners who want creative programmes with depth, safeguarding and purpose.
When people feel seen, they participate differently. When young people are trusted with tools, space and responsibility, they grow. When communities tell their own stories, the picture changes.
Partner with Photo 51 CIC to design a creative programme, workshop or project that speaks to real people and creates lasting value.
